Floriculture


Floriculture is an aspect of horticulture that deals with the management of cultivation and sales of ornamental crops that are of economic important to man. Plant used for ornamental purposes are commonly separated into flower or landscape plant. Flower plants are mostly herbaceous which are primarily grown for their blossom, but are occasionally grown for their shinning leaves. Landscape plants are mostly often produced for permanent outdoor planting and they are classified according to uses, form and growth.

Floriculture simply put involves the growth, care, usage as well as marketing of some flowering plants trees and shrubs. Beautiful trees or flowering plants which can be used to decorate our environments are classified as ornamental plants. The person who cultivate, manage and sell flower is refers to as a florist.
