Field capacities of field Machine

The field capacity of a farm machine is the rate at which it can cover a field for farm operation and other construction operation while performing its intended function or useful work. This is usually expressed in hectares per hour (ha/hr) that the machine implement will cover. The factors that are involved or considered are the width and the speed of operation with an allowance for lost time in turning, servicing, loading/offloading and so on. The related terms of performance the machine are;
  • Effective field capacity
  • Theoretical field capacity
  • Field efficiency
  • Performance efficiency or machine efficiency
  • Theoretical time and effective operation time.
