Mouldboard plough

The Mouldboard plough is a primary tillage implement which cuts; partially or completely then inverting the layer of the soil buries surface material and also pulverizes the soil. The part of the plough that directly does the engagement to the soil is called the bottom or body, the number of the bottom or body varies from one to five depending on the field capacity. Each of these bottoms is attached to the plough beam which forms the basic structure of the mouldboard plough. The bottom or body applies to the complete assembly of the soil-working parts which is required for each furrows. The bottom has various sizes like 30cm, 36cm, and 41cm and so on which in turn determines the sizes of the furrows.

The main parts of the bottom of the mouldboard plough are mouldboard, share, landside and frog. The bottom turns the soil and cuts a trench called furrow.
