AERENCHYMA


Aerenchyma is a respiratory tissue which is found in hydrophytes as well as semi-aquatic plants. Aerenchymas are spaces or channels of air in leaves, root and stems of some plants that allows the exchange of gases amongst the shoot as well as the root.
