standard of profession, agricultural engineering comprises of the main branches
of the discipline namely; farm implements and power, rural structure, soil
conservation, drainage and irrigation and rural electricity. It is the
engineering discipline that applies engineering science and technology to agricultural
production and processing. Agricultural engineering combines the disciplines of
animal biology, plant biology, as well as mechanical, civil, electrical and chemical
engineering principles with knowledge of agricultural principles.
