SECONDARY TILLAGE IMPLEMENTS

Secondary tillage implements are implements which are used to till the soil after primary tillage operations. Specifically, the implements are designed in a way to create, refined and needed for a particular soil conditions before the seed is planted. For this purpose, the soil tools for engagement of these implements are designed to work the soil to a shallower depth than those of the primary tillage implements. The common secondary tillage implement includes;
  • Offset and tandem disc harrows
  • Mouldboard ridger/Bedders
  • Field cultivator
  • Spring – tine harrows
  • Spike – tooth horrows
